A Court of Thorns and Roses is a book series by Sarah J. Maas, who also wrote the Throne of Glass series. The stories revolves around Feyre Archeron, a mortal who ends up being brought into the faerie lands, leading to a story of discovery, romance and the politics of the various fae courts within the faerie lands.
The books have been fairly well received, winning various awards and gathering a large following. A series is also in the works, at the time of writing this, and is being developed by Ronald D. Moore for Hulu.
Faerie names within the series are heavily inspired by Celtic names, in some cases being a regular name while in others a more fantastical version of one. There are a few other influences as well, leading to an overall melodic naming universe. Female names tend to be more melodic and often longer than male names as well.
