The Horasian empire is a large and powerful empire, as well as home to the most densely populated area of the Middenrealm. Within Fairfield, which lies in the heart of the Horasian empire, you'll find more cities than anywhere else. These cities are havens to trade, scholars and progress. Surrounding villages often have no difficulty finding buyers for their goods.
Freedom and a love for life are also of the utmost importance within the Horasian empire. Slaves are forbidden, and scientific communities are commonly found. While the Twelvegods are the main gods, other faiths are tolerated unlike in some other places.
Horasian names are heavily influenced by Italian, though here and there you'll also find some Arabic and Eastern European influences. Female names tend to be more melodic and often and in an a, while male names more often end in an o.
Surnames are often prefixed by a short word. In the south this word is often "ay", "du" or "ash", while elsewhere you'll often find "da", "de(l)", "di(l)" and delli.
