Dwarf names - The Dark Eye
This name generator will give you 10 names fit for the dwarves of The Dark Eye universe.
Dwarves, also known as Angroshim, are the stout inhabitants of the many rich mountains they've called home for generation upon generation, and are known for their smithing skills, beards, clan life and, at times, their temper. Female dwarves are a lot rarer than male dwarves as only 1 female is born for every 3 males. This affects the way women are seen and how dwarven males compete with each other for a dwarven woman's hand in marriage (or covenant of fire and bronze as they call it).
Dwarven names are quite guttural and can vary greatly in length. Examples include Forgrimm, Brobosh, Angraula, and Ilgrimma. Children take the name of one of their parents as their surname with "son of" for men, and "daughter of" for women. Male dwarves often use the first letter of their name to name their children with a name starting with that same letter, so you might end up with names like Ambros son of Andrash, Berosh son of Brobosh, and so on. This isn't a strict naming convention though.
