Herbivores names - Monster Hunter
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the herbivore species of the Monster Hunter universe.
Herbivores are, of course, the plant eaters of the Monster Hunter universe and are usually the prey species of the larger monsters hunted by the player. They come in two types: reptilian and mammalian. The reptilian herbivores often resemble dinosaurs, while the mammalian ones usually resemble fantasy versions of usually hoofed animals like goats, pigs, deer and bovines.
Herbivore names are overall mostly guttural sounding, with some sharper tones here and there. A few suffixes are found in some of the names, like -don in Gastodon and Kestodon, or -noth in Aptonoth and Larinoth. In both cases, the two animals with the same suffix do resemble each other a little, but there doesn't seem to be an official meaning attached to the suffix. Either way, you'll find them and others in this name generator alongside suffix-less names akin to those found in the game as well (Popo, Kelbi, etc.).
