Lord of the Rings race name generators

The Lord of the Rings is one of the best selling novel series ever written, as well as one of the greatest and highest awarded movie trilogy of all time. It was originally written by J.R.R. tolkien, a philologist (one who studies languages), as a way to build a world around the fictional languages he had created, and acted as a sequel to his book The Hobbit.
The Lord of the Rings follows the stories of a fellowship seeking to destroy the One Ring created by the Dark Lord Sauron. The One Ring was created through deception when other rings of power were forged, and served as a way to control all those who were given these other, corrupting rings.

Countless adaptations have been created of both Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, and the other works within the same universe (often by using those works to expand upon the main works). Alongside the incredible trilogy by Peter Jackson, an animated movie was made in 1978 by Ralph Bakshi, another animated movie was made in 1980 by the Ranking/Bass studio to finish Ralph Bakshi's work. A live-action adaptation called Khraniteli was made in the Soviet Union in 1991, and a live action the Hobbit tv series was made in 1993 in Finland, named Hobitit.
An anime called The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim was made in 2024, and Amazon currently works on their on-going series called The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, to a far more mixed reception.
On top of that, there are fan made works crafted by dedicated fans. These include the well received Born of Hope, and The Hunt for Gollum films, both published on Youtube and other internet sites.

Then there are the countless games, plays, and other works of art adapting either the books directly or the Peter Jackson movies. These include, but are not limited to, Shadows of Mordor, Lord of the Rings Online, the popular The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King games, and so much more.

Lord of the Rings stands out not only because of its incredibly world building, but also because of its role in literature as a whole. Fantasy, as a genre, didn't have the same popularity and cultural influence when it was written as it does today. Lord of the Ring's popularity created a trend, which resulted in works imitating it, works strongly influenced by it, and works written as a counter reaction to it. But Lord of the Rings never stopped influencing fantasy. Even today the archetypal elves, dwarves and halflings tend to follow the tropes popularized by J.R.R. Tolkien, like immortal, graceful and/or magical elves, master-craftsfolk dwarves, and carefree halflings.

There are many races in the Lord of the Rings universe and I've created a name generator for a whole range of them. More information on each race and on their naming conventions can be found in the descriptions of their respective name generator.
