This name generator will generate 10 random Chinese Mandarin names for moon rabbits.
The moon rabbit is a rabbit who, surprise surprise, lives on the moon according to folklore in many cultures, but is especially popular in Chinese folklore, as well as Japanese and Korean folklore. It is usually seen with a mortar in which it constantly pounds either ingredients for rice cake in the Japanese and Korean versions, or medicine for mortals or the elixir of life for the Moon goddess in Chinese versions.
Moon rabbits are more and more popular in modern works of fiction as well, but aren't always named. For this name generator I stuck to Chinese names for pets/rabbits. Like in English, rabbits are often named after their appearance or personality, like 'Spot', 'Stomper', or 'Snow'. These names are part of this generator as well, just in Chinese. The translation is always added in brackets behind the name. Some names will have two words, so you might get something like 'Innocent White' as a translation, which would really be more like 'Innocent white one', for example. Not all names will work like this, and the word order might be wrong in some cases. Chinese is definitely tricky when it comes to that.
If you're after Japanese names, I recommend using the kitsune name generator instead.
