Moonfolk names - Magic: The Gathering
This name generator will give you 10 random moonfolk names fit for the Magic: The Gathering universe.
Moonfolk are humanoid beings with slim bodies, blue to gray skin and incredibly long ears and an overall slightly rabbit-like appearance. They live up in the clouds of Kamigawa, a plane of existence based on Japanese culture, which is part of why the moonfolk look like rabbits as well. They're based on the tsuki-usagi.
The moonfolk generally don't concern themselves with the affairs of those who literally live below them on the surface of their world, instead they focus on learning and studying magic.
The Japanese influences extend to Moonfolk names, which are melodic and constructed in similar ways are real Japanese names. Female names do seem to always start with a vowel and this is how the names are constructed in this generator as well. This rule is based on a small handful of names that are available in the source material though, so technically it could be considered a coincidence that all of those started with a vowel, but I'll leave it up to you whether you wish to follow this rule or not.
As far as regular card names go they seemed to have type names based on places, types or maybe just personal names of leaders or other important figures. 'Oboro' in 'Oboro Breezecaller' and 'Soratami' in 'Soratami Mindsweeper'. These are the only two type names and pretty much all there was to work with due to the low amount of available cards, but they formed a decent basis in combination with the personal naming style.
