This name generator will give you 10 random Zimbabwean Ndebele names, meanings and surnames.
Zimbabwean Ndebele is a language spoken by the Northern Ndebele people, an ethnic group living in Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. Roughly 2 million people are native Zimbabwean Ndebele speakers. The language is closely related to the Zulu language, also spoken in South Africa, and as such you'll find similarities between Zulu names and Zimbabwean Ndebele names.
The personal names in this generator include meanings. Like many other African cultures, the meaning behind a name can play an important role when picking a name for a child. Unfortunately I couldn't find a whole lot on naming conventions outside of this, so I'm not 100% sure whether surnames are simply passed down or are based on the father's name like in some other African cultures. If anybody does know this I'd appreciate it if you could let me know by contacting me.
