Shu names - Grishaverse
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the Shu part of the Grishaverse stories.
Shu Han is a nation bordered by Kerch and Ravka, the latter of which they've been at war with for centuries. Shu Han is known for dissecting Grisha in their experiments and search for the source of their power, something that only adds fuel to the war with Ravka.
Shu Han is currently ruled by the Taban family, and usually a queen sits on the throne as the seat of power is handed down from mother to eldest daughter. But exceptions can be made as the queen desires. The Taban family takes it names from the first Taban queen, a naming convention not followed by the rest of the populace. For others, their father's names is usually taken and a prefix is added. Kir- for women, Yul- for men.
Shu Han in general is based primarily on Mongolia and China, with other East Asian influences mixed in. Shu names tend to lean more toward Mongolian names, but include Chinese influences as well. Some names are taken from real life, often because of their meaning. Examples include Bo Yul-Bayur (Bayur meaning joy or celebration) and Botkin Yul-Erdene (Erdene meaning jewel). But some names have been changed or taken from other languages for their meaning. For the purposes of this name generator, I focused on Chinese and Mongolian influences, but none of the names are real. The real name generators could offer those, should you prefer them.
