Vulcan names - Star Trek
This generator will generator 10 random names at a time, fit for the Vulcan species of the Star Trek universe.
Vulcans are a species of humanoids with pointy ears and arched up eyebrows. They were otherwise similar to humans, so much so that they could mate with humans without any problems.
However, despite these similarities on the outside, a Vulcan's anatomy is very different on the inside. To name a few differences: their blood was copper colored, their heart is where a human's liver would be, they had sensitive hearing, an efficient respiratory system, they could survive without sleep for weeks and had a lifespan of 200 years or more.
Vulcans were highly logical thinkers. Everything they did had to be logical, violence was rarely the logical solution, but sometimes it was. From an early age Vulcans are trained to detach themselves from all emotions. However, this does not mean Vulcans no longer feel emotions, they do and their emotions are far more intense than those of most species. But emotions were considered impure and hindered reaching the truth through logical thinking.
Vulcan names are generally quite short, names are 1-2 syllables long and their names used to follow some form of naming convention in official canon, which was that male names generally started with an S and female names generally started with T'. But this rule wasn't followed strictly and it seems it was either completely abandoned or partially ignored in later works.
Besides those two beginnings, differences between male and female names are mostly that female names end in a vowel more often than male names and they tend to sound more feminine or melodic in many cases. But not in all cases, so there's plenty of room to play around with this.
