Zemeni names - Grishaverse
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the Zemeni people part of the Grishaverse stories.
The Zemeni people are native to Novyi Zem, a large country bordered by the Wandering Isle, True Sea, and Southern Colonies. It is known for its cultivation of jurda, long coast full of bustling cities, dark-skinned people and its firearms. Novyi Zem is also known for being a safe-haven for many people shunned or otherwise without a safe home in other parts of the world.
While Novyi Zem is confirmed to be mostly based on American Colonies and Australia, but their names seem based primarily on Swahili names. Ayama and Baya are both Swahili names, but Swahili also has many Sanskrit and Biblical influences. This covers Jesper and Kalem (from the Biblical Jasper and Callum) as well as Aditi and Duli from Sanskrit. Without confirmation from Leigh, I could've certainly drawn the wrong conclusions though. Either way, it's what I stuck to for this name generator.
