Githyanki names - Dungeons & Dragons
This name generator will give you 10 names which will generally fit the githyanki of the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
The githyanki are born of conflict and seem to be unable to escape it. Though they have escaped their mind flayer opressors, a civil war followed soon after and split the gith up into githyanki and githzerai. The githyanki remain in their original home while the githzerai relocated to the Limbo plane. In their original home, the githyanki use mind flayer and elder brains to fuel the Throne of Bones upon which their queen, Vlaakith, sits and reigns supreme.
All githyanki are raised from birth to be loyal warriors to Vlaakith. Their training is brutal and a mixture of combat training and cult-like education, and raids are performed on a somewhat regular basis to both ensure world domination, Vlaakith's reign and keep the githyanki occupied. Without raids, the githyanki often seek pleasure in decadence, despite Vlaakith trying to promote more fulfilling purposes in life. While raids would offer an easy distraction, Vlaakith fears they would come at either the cost of her best warriors and leave her vulnerable or worse: make her best warriors powerful enough to challenge her reign.
Githyanki names are longer and melodic than their githzerai counterparts. While still full of harsher tones, apostrophes and more vowels often make the names more melodic overall. Like githzerai names, female names are longer overall and more melodic than male names, but the differences can be more subtle among githyanki names.
