Belarusian name generator
This name generator will give you 10 random Belarusian names.
Belarus is a country in Eastern Europe with a population of just under 10 million people. It's a very young country, only having gained independence in 1991 from Soviet Russia like many other countries at that time. The Russian influences are still visible today, including in Belarusian names, but there are plenty of elements unique to Belarus.
While Russian and Polish surnames are relatively common, Belarusian (sur)names can also have their own suffixes. Names ending in -enak or -ak are distinctly Belarusian for example, but even the way names are written is different from Russian names. While Russian, Belarusian, and Ukrainian as languages are mutually intelligible, the minor differences, similar to differences in dialects, give Belarusian names a distinct difference over Russian names. But that doesn't mean Russian names are uncommon in Belarus, about 10% of the population is Russian after all.
