Ghoran names - Pathfinder
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the ghoran part of the Pathfinder universe.
Ghoran are the result of a magical attempt at creating a plant that could thrive and adapt to any environment. While this attempt was done out of a need for food during the war between Geb and Nex, the druid Ghorus, who was responsible for the creation of ghorans, did not foresee the future that would end up being created for these humanoid, plant-beings. But despite eventually earning citizenship and a protected status, their original purpose as a food source still left many ghorans hunted as they are apparently delicious.
Those fortunate enough to avoid being eaten will find they are, in a sense, immortal. Every 20 years or so, when a ghoran reaches full maturity, they produce a seed their soul will enter. Their body will wither away while the seed will produce a new one, and so the cycle continues on and on.
Ghoran names are usually chosen with each new carnation. The name can be anything at all, and is usually something they enjoyed in their previous life. Some may choose to keep a name, especially those living among longer-lived species they might consider friends or family.
Names offered in the books include: Amsalu, Ash, Emnet, Sieri, Ooniel, Arshmarish, Velt, Delphinium, Hach, Emerald, Sable. Since some of these names are made up words, I used those for naming conventions in this name generator. I've also included real words, mostly those of trees and plants, as an additional source of inspiration. But you could pick any word or name at all based on their chosen naming convention.
