Hebrew/Jewish name generator

This name generator will generate 10 random Hebrew names in their Romanized form.

As you may have seen in the 'Hebrew (Old) name generator' they originally didn't use surnames. Instead they used the son and daughter of "father's name" method. Surnames slowly became popular around the 11th century, but even later than that for the Jews in most of Northern and Eastern Europe. Many took surnames based on the culture they had become a part of, which means you could use almost any surname as a surname for those Jews.

As for the difference between Hebrew and Jewish, to make a long and somewhat confusing story short, during the Roman era the term 'Hebrew' referred to anybody part of the Jewish nation. This term pretty much stuck to this day. Hebrew is also the language spoken by many Jews.
The term 'Jew' is usually used to refer to somebody who is part of Judaism, which includes anybody who converted. However, having a Jewish identity could go beyond that of religion, like your ethnicity and ancestry. Opinions on this do vary a lot though.
