The Grishaverse is the name used for all the works written by Leigh Bardugo, which the Shadow and Bone trilogy, the Six of Crows duology, and the King of Scars duology. It includes other short stories, as well as a Netflix adaptation of some of the main series. The Netflix series is named after the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but also uses the Six of Crows duology in its adaptation.
The Shadow and Bone trilogy follows Aline Starkov, an orphan turned soldier in Ravka who discovers she has a secret and unique power. This discovery sees her ripped away from her childhood friend while she is taken to undergo training so that one day she may rid the world of the Shadow Fold, a deadly darkness that covers a big part of the world and cuts off some countries from each other, for better and worse.
The Six of Crows duology is set in the same universe and time-line as Shadow and Bone, but is a heist story in which a team of six people with their own unique strengths and weaknesses is tasked with the retrieval of a valuable hostage. The books and the Netflix adaptation of this story change in who this hostage is.
The King of Scars duology picks up one year after the Six of Crows duology, and follows the story of a king of Ravka and his struggles to protect his kingdom. The stories follows multiple POV characters, much like the other books. But I'll refrain from mentioning any names to avoid spoilers for those looking to read or watch any of the stories for the first time.
Within the Grishaverse, there are several nations and peoples covered in various levels of detail. For the main 7, I've created name generators. You'll find those below. But keep in mind that these aren't official name generators, only ones based on this story universe.
