Centaur names - Percy Jackson
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the centaurs part of the Percy Jackson universe.
Centaurs are mythological creatures with the body of a horse, but where their head would be is the torso and head of a human. They are great healers and archers, and, in the case of Chiron, great teachers. But both in Greek mythology and in Percy Jackson, centaurs are generally known to be violent, usually due to the influence of too much alcohol. Chiron is an exception in part due to his birth. He is born of Kronos (in half-horse form) and the nymph Philyra, whereas most other centaurs are descendants of Centaurus, who in turn is a child of Ixion (king of a legendary people) and Nephele (a spirit cloud). Things get even more complex after that, including due to existence of other centaur tribes, but that is Greek mythology in a nutshell.
There are six named centaurs: Chiron and Nessus, Larry and Owen, and Aphros and Bythos. Chiron and Nessus are names of centaurs from the actual Greek myths, and thus you'll find other names from the real myths below, too.
Larry and Owen are part of the Party Ponies in Percy Jackson, but since they have regular names I've not included them in this generator. You could use either any real name generator or the first names from the Percy Jackson demigod name generator for more in their style.
Aphros and Bythos are not names from the real myths, so you'll find fake, Greek-sounding names in this generator, too.
Lastly, as far as I'm aware, Hylonome is the only named female centaur in Greek myth. Which is to say that female centaurs both do exist, but are not technically represented with the myth names found below.
